1985 Dollar Lamination Error?

I believe that a 'lamination error' would suggest that the coin has a plating, or coating;
those, just like all other period "silver" coins are pure nickle, with no plating or coating to speak of.

Please understand that I mean no offense by this, but those pictures are to lousy for me to try to guess what I'm looking at.
I would suggest looking at how any perceived "error" might appear while passing through a detail such as a letter - if it looks like the detail/letter has been smeared, it's likely some sort of PMD (Post Mint Damage).

It looks like post mint damage ( PMD) to me. Maybe it was used as a level under a chair leg, or something like that.

Thanks for your comments.

While attempting better pictures I discovered the edge of what looked like a lamination was clear. So PMD varnish or another clear substance on parts of both sides of the coin.
