A friend of mine gave me a baby food jar of coins today. it had a few keepers in it like a 1939 D nickel, a couple of LWC's including this 1923. Just my luck that it's in the condition it's in but a keeper for sure. it's as close to the color in hand as I could get. looks like someone put it to a buffing wheel as well or cleaned it with polishing compound.

Looks like a dug coin from a sonic cleaner. There's more out there, but yea, are tough to find with that clear a date.

Hmmm, in your case, think wine!

Thanks Crazyb0! When I first picked it up I was ecstatic for about a nanosecond which I then realized it was put into a coffin decades ago. With yesterday being ol' hallow's eve, it was some how raised from the grave and (just my luck) ended up in my hands
I'm putting it into a 2x2 coffin and keeping it away from my other coins so it doesn't suck the life out of them. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the discoloration and or stains. I think the normal ware and the few nicks and dings add character, but not the blood red areas. lol
