What would you grade it? Do you think it is original? And to gauge how I did buying it, what value would you give it? TIA

Nice one, I'll go MS63 and let some else put a value on it. But about $100

A little tough with that toning, but I see enough circulation rub to put this at 58 on a good day, 55 on a grumpy day.
Color looks wholly original.

Tough call without coin in hand. Value in AU-58 maybe $50-60, in 63BN maybe $150.

Here's where accurate photography is essential. I look first at the wheat stalks on Wheaties, and here I see lines noticeably worn away. I'm at about XF on it. I'd go AU if BigSilver asserts the lines are complete; it seems to retain a lot of original luster and it's quite appealing visually. It'd have a home in my collection, even at XF.

Quote: Here's where accurate photography is essential. Like many of us here, I am struggling with photography. This was taken with axial lighting (glass plate at 45 degrees setup) with a Canon T5 Rebel. I feel that the results are very accurate, and I also feel that the image optimizer may have washed out some of the sharpness (if that is even possible. I have the originals on my phone, and these I can view on my PC so that may be playing tricks on me.)

Optimizer aside, this is a fantastic strike for this issue - look at that bowtie and ear detail! No way less than 58 and one of the nicest examples you'll see with even coloring and virtually no detractions.

If you're not wanting it any more.... Best one I've see in quite some time, like the strike but isn't MS, a bit off.

Does it cartwheel at all? Tough coin to find in mint state. Nice strike for the issue.
It's borderline AU but I'll go MS-63.

I would think AU-58 from those pictures.

I'm also at AU58. But I would rather have that one than a typical 20D. That year is known for soft strikes. That coin has a strong strike from a pair of new dies set at just the right distance. I'm a dealer I have that coin on the wish list of several of my costumers. I deal with a lot of very picky people who have graduated from hole filling to collecting strike rarities. NOT an easy job. I would have no problem selling that at $100.

I would say AU58 on this one. If it did make MS, I think it would be a BN.
It's a really attractive example of a tough date / minkmark.
