Hi ,I'm a rookie and found what I think is a 1968s double die .
Can anyone give me their opinion on if it is or isn't , if it is is it rare or pretty common ?

I think it looks flat and shelf-like so I'd say it's Mechanical Doubling. There's a nifty little die chip in the mint mark.

I'll say MD also, date, MM, chin, & nose. Seems to be a nicer 68-S

Welcome Rob, it is a classic shelf type MD. Very common on late 60's coins, when you see it on both mm and date in same direction of movement, it's 98% of the time MD...there are certain date/mm where there's a DDO AND RPM on the coin, not that often and on known coins. Check those question coins against reference sites:
