i could not find any info about doubled ear for 1984d Lincoln Cent but I found this one which it looks like doubled ear to me ... what the experts see ?

1984 is known the double ear, that looks like damage to the coin or die chip.

The overall size of the lobe area is th same on both of your images. The hub doubling increase the size of the lobe. On this one it shows two on the images below:
