No one has done any die tracking or rough population studies on the later Vicky coinage. I like the die crack and don't remember seeing any like that in my years of searching, but I never ever looked for anything after '99.

That is a really nice die crack! I don't know that there are any die numbers on the 1900H cents yet. Seems like I've seen that die crack on another thread on CCF in the past. I think this is the link to it if it works. This is the first time I've tried to link to another thread. www.coincommunity.com/forum/...rchTerms=1900

I have one like fourmack's. Looks like the one from fourmack and Can-varieties are the same, but they're not. Fourmack's crack splits at the R and on mine the lower crack runs through the beads. The top part of the split carries across above the IA of GRATIA then runs down the I.
Can-var's runs only from the E to N, not to the A and past, has an extra crack running down the N, doesn't split at the R and doesn't run over the IA. If Can-var's were an earlier die state then the others should have the crack at the N but they don't, so it can't be the same die.

Nice Looks like the die has been partially repaired for the next date or has been repaired and at the end has started to deteriorate again?

Have a look where the 2 cracks cross the G. Fourmack's runs well under the crossbar, CV's is even with it. Part of the crack on FM's runs along the top of the beads toward GRATIA, while on CV's it is under the beads below REGINA. Would the mint have repaired all the little details or just pulled out another die ? Anyone?
I'm leaning towards the same kind of damage to 2 dies. Something to do with the machinery - same mistake tightening or something, two dies in a row ?

It IS strange to see the same type of very unusual crack on successive years. I was initially going toi say that the presses themselves were misaligned so more pressure got to one side of the dies than the other. But that's a no-go since it was from 2 separate mints... not the same equipment.
