I was wondering if this was a die break or just PMD?

It's a die chip, too much material to have been displaced. Unusual place to find one. Feeling better Now?

Judging from what I've seen on CoC, it should be an RIT. It's not yet listed, though.

I sent it to jc lastnight and he said it was a hit on the T PSD he looked at the same pics you guys are. So I don't know how to take a better picture for him to see it isn't PMD. in hand I can see a little better then I can take in pictures and I knew it couldn't be PMD but I just wanted to see what you guys say.

I suppose it could be a hit, and the mishapened T may lend itself to that. I think it's a die chip but, I'm not JC!

It's worth keeping in the "Of Interest" pile anyway.

PMD is usually incuse on a coin. This is raised above the fields. So a chip broke out of the die, leaving that area un-formed. (raised) The die is a negative of a coin. What is raised on a coin, is deep inside the die. The fields that are lowest on a coin are the outside part of a die.

It's hard to tell from the images I got. But my take on this one is the left wing of the top of the "T" in LIBERTY took a hit "note the damage" that displaced the metal to the Southwest into the field.
If it is an "RIT" it is not listed in the 1969 edition of "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" by Jean Cohen or the 1972 edition of the "BIE Handbook" Edited by Howard O Hardy.
If you want to send it to me I'll take a closer look. Again it's hard to tell from the images I got in the email.

Or a peeling lamination that is making that area look raised?
