I was checking Moorecards feedback tonight, I think he has some good rolls. If you look at the buyers feedback they are not "planted" feedback. That patbar, marco, and a couple others are some serious roll buyers and do not hold back on their feedback. I know I have pulled a handful of teen S mints, 3 22-D's and a 24-D xf along with numerous 09 VDB's and a nice 1919 off center strike AU-MS. I also have pulled MS 30's, 40's and a bunch of 50's along with AU-MS 20's and teens.

I decided to take the rest of the week off so hopefully the wife does not have it all planned out for me and I will have some time to take some pics and post some more results.

chrsb, and others, this is what I got from the "seller", mentioned above. I will only include the dates pre-1940:
1910-p
1919-p

1920-p-2
1920-s
1923-p
1926-p

1930-p-4
1932-d (*) This is the first, and only 1932-d I have gotten from ANY source. It is also the only new cent I have gotten from this source. In other words, one coin from 600 is not much to brag about! Coins are clean, tho!
1933-p
1934-p-9
1935-d-9
1936-p-7
1937-p-3
1938-p-3
1939-p-6
Draw your own conclusions. I will buy NO MORE WHEATS!

"Draw your own conclusions. I will buy NO MORE WHEATS!"

Me neither! I got a couple of OK coins that were seeded in bulk circs. I could've probably gotten similar quality to my "unsearched bag" from a coffee can at a flea market.

And with the coffee can, Kurt, you have a much better chance of a great find.

chrsb, I will accept that roll! I really would like to see a roll that I have not "memorized, by date, and MM"! If it is what you infer, I would be willing to buy some rolls. I have everything from 1935, on. I was about ready to give up on them. PM, or email sent.

Thad,

Wondering what took you so long! It's a nice educational thread, take a look at the PDF, 31-D through 33-D is pretty bare, those dates must be hoarded somewhere. Good news is I can build quit a few sets with these minus the keys. I think I am done buying for awhile, I am remembering why I stopped buying circulated rolls, it is taking away from my coin show stash and very time consuming (something I do not have a lot of this time of year). I got around 70 left to inventory and I am done for a long time.

chrsb I think you said it earlier with the links to the sellers past, it just means that I need to look at that a lot closer than I have before. Over the last year I have purchased my share of rolls and have similar luck as others here and feel that it is my own fault for wanting to be so trusting. The rolls that I bought that did not brag about being 'unsearched' were actually the better rolls. The other ones are easy to look back now and see that they were worthless because most of them are 40-50's with just a couple of older coins (easy to get dates) to make it seem as if it is a great deal. All I know is that it will be a long time before I buy rolls again unless someone can find a seller that does a truely honest roll.

I got my rolls in from Ryan_Fowler finally.

What a JOKE!
I bought rolls with low dates on each end,
teens, and the end coins were the only low
dates for the most part! 40+ coins in each roll
were common 1940+ dates. Out of those, a solid 30+
were 1950+! And that is for each roll. I got 3 rolls
total.

There were NO coins from the 1930s,
and every coin older than 1940 was a cull for the
most part! Even some of the 40s and 50s were culls.

I ended up with 2 Indians, 1893 & 1902, and they were
G to VG. A 1910, about ten 1919 (over 3 rolls), two 1920,
two 1916, two 1927, two 1928, and one 1929-s. Again, all
but the Indians are barely readable/damaged culls to AG.

The rest were 1940+... and NONE were XF-AU out of all 150
coins. At least all 150 were there.

I am done.
I am going to leave Ryan good feedback because I
have no proof of a 'stacked deck'. However, the
rolls are crisp new rolls, so I feel confident
that these were seller rolled/searched, and early
dates strategically placed on the ends.

I'm done.

Edit:
Forgot about the 1914, AG.
Also, one of the 1919 coins is an S mint.

Ratio-

Ya his rolls were pretty picked through, it's to bad his rolls sell for so much. Take a look at some of the ones with a VDB on the end from all sellers, they go for 100 bucks sometimes!

Penny,

I try to look for sellers that have no coin selling feedback, I have won a few times and also lost.

I think the moral to all of these stories is there really is no "unsearched" rolls, just ones that have not been picked through as much as others!

Ratio,

I am not sticking up for any seller but those pics came from searching over 10,000 cents. I have another 4000 coming then I am done, going back to the BU rolls!

Dick,

Still waiting on some rolls to get here, some of these sellers are slower than molasses! Moorecards takes weeks to receive, I usually get the shipping notice 1-2 weeks after I win.

Call me jaded; but BU 40s and 50s do not impress me much; certainly not at more than .05/cent. And, to seem REALLY JADED, BU 30's dont impress me much either. Have I been at this too long?
