1963 D Jefferson Nickel Error?

There's a slice/line mark on my 1963 D Jefferson nickel. Not sure if it's damage or an error. It even affects the top and bottom rims. Take a look. Thanks.

It looks like damage to me.

@dfnkjaws, yes I agree with the ithers that your nickel was just damaged after it left the mint. It can be safely spent.

One thing I've learned from people on this site is if the edge is deformed it's almost always PMD or PSD.

Sadly, it's the truth. There are far more people who try to fabricate planchet errors than actuall planchet errors.
