Just found this piece in a bunch of Chinese coins I had in a box. Any help with its identification and approximate value would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Specimen Coin - 1/2 Cash, Pattern, China, 1899 This was an era when Provincial Chinese mints were introducing modern striking machinery. This piece, struck in Europe, was made to promote the quality that a particular press could offer, it was part of a sales pitch for a prospective Province.
If legit, of course... always of particular concern with Chinese-related material. It looks OK at first glance.
Note that this is 1866 rather than 1899, as the links explain (and in keeping with the text alignment on the other side).
Looking at your prior posts (that solid 1828 EoMo 8R, e.g.)... for someone who doesn't seem to be the most actively dialed-in numismatist, you've procured some very nice actual coin material (in addition to the medals which would seem to be more your thing).
