Hi I came across this 1973 Washington quarter, it is very thin weight is about 5.5 grams center is sunk in but looks to have some ridges. looking forward to hearing what you think. I have never see a coin like it.

Your coin was eaten away by acid or acidic soil. Notice the "trench" on the edge. That is created because the exposed copper core is eaten away more quickly than the copper-nickel cladding. Just damaged, I'm afraid.

Nah. The town I grew up in didn't have drugs until 1973. I was married and had three kids by then. In high school they had us go to an assembly about drugs and sex. We all laughed about drugs. "What are they talking about?" So when people ask me if I took drugs in the 60's. I said yes. "Asprin, Bufferin, Pepto Bismol and Alka Seltzer." LOL Never did or ever will take drugs.
