A substantial mintage of 5 million, but at a diminutive 14 mm in diameter, you'd have to think the attrition rate was pretty high simply owing to their being easily lost.

This specimen was plucked from a bargain bin, and while it's undeniably browned, there isn't much apparent wear.

For such a small copper coin, I find it interesting that its edge is reeded.
