Was the coin in 2x2 when picture was taken?
To determine whether or not is an RPM ,a clearer close up with a little more light and out of 2x2 would help.

Does not look like an RPM to me. Split copper plating and zinc rot starting.

DDD, Die Deterioration Doubling. It always will show a stretched effect TOWARDS the outside. Note the right sides of date devices as well as MM.
