Well technically I got 19.99 for this penny, but shoot I never would have thought someone would buy a penny off me for that amount! I found this as an ender in a roll while searching, and was happy as all get out to fill my hole. But I saw the value of the coin and thought it would be better to have the money lol so I went on OfferUp market it for trade or best offer and my best offer came in as 20.00. Not bad at all :) got to show the circle k clerk why I come in everyday asking for penny rolls by doing the transaction right in front of him. :) super happy. Glad I got more than what it's worth cause I was only thinking I would get about 10 buck for it. But he said 20, and I said heck yeahhhh lol. But this was probably the nicest penny that I had in my collection other than the common 50s shiners that seem to be so widely available.

It's hard to tell from your pics, but it looks like a MS coin. I would have given you $25-35 for it.

The patina may be hiding some tiny nicks and scratches, but it looks pretty nice to me !

To determine if high AU, or to what extent into the MS range, it would help to examine it in hand under a 10X loupe , just as the TPGraders do.

Sounds like both you and your buyer both did well and that's the best kind of deal.

Glad you found that coin before it got circulated and all dinged up.
Rest in Peace

Good buy for your buyer and a decent price for you. When you have enough posts you can offer your coins here too.
