This is my 1936 canadian 10 cent.
I have been sorting through the huge world coin collection left to me by my great grandfather. Until resently I had pretty much disregarder this coin but just today I spotted a few on ebay (different years but close to 1936) reaching good prices. Still they are all in better condition than mine but it did make me wonder how much this is worth? If anyone knows i'd be grteatfull for your help!

Welcome to the Forum Heather

If your coin has a raised dot below the date, for sure its worth quite a bit, like thousands

If not, it looks like VG condition, around $2.00, as you can see quite a difference

But, still a nice find, for an old coin.

my father has a 1936 canadian dime with a dot either above or below the date. Someone told him it was worth 100 bucks back in the 70's. I searched around and apparently it s very rare and worth quite a bit. Does anyone know exactly how much? any help would be appreciated........

Hi, Tank386, Welcome to the Forum.

As I was telling 123heather321, there was about 191,237 of the dot variety minted.

but, sadly, to date only about 5 examples have been found, the raised dot is on the reverse just under the wreath.

If your father has one, check it out, it could be worth thousands.

Hope this helps some.
