I am looking at several MS 60s older coins in ICG holders. What has been your experiences with ICG holdered coins? Are they trustworthy against counterfeits?

Thanks

They're trust worthy for authenticity, but the market doesn't give much respect to the grades

Agree completely. ICG has one of the top coin authenticators (Fazzari) in the country. IMO, their grading is as good as any. Randy Campbell is their grading finalizer.

IMO, the grading done by each of the four TPGS's is very similar. If anything, ANACS and ICG tend to be less liberal. However, ICG gets no respect.

We all know that usually the identical coin in a PCGS slab is worth more than an NGC slab which is worth more in an ICG slab which is worth more than an ANACS slab.

Thankfully, it boils down to a personal choice between cost, speed, and customer service as the professionals at each service are very well qualified.
