Important to note:
1) Egypt had no silver mines, so silver was disproportionately valuable to the Egyptians. Royalty and aristocrats (high priests and court officuals) would wear gold or silver jewelry; commoners would wear stone or bone/ivory.
2. The most common form of amulet was the "scarab" which also functioned like a signet ring.
3. Ancient Egypt did not have a monetized economy. Money was introduced by their Persian overlords around 500 BC, and a brief native dynasty minted coins exclusively in gold to pay Greek mercenaries. These coins are of the highest rarity; worth more than a sports car.
I agree, this is almost certainly a modern tourist item, perhaps from a necklace.
