Don't know much about currency miscuts but I wouldn't keep it in that holder very long if that is one of those insurance or registration card holders for the car. The plastic in some of those isn't good for printed paper. Also I would not flip that fold over too much either. It needs to be kept as nice and flat and unhandled as possible and get it graded. Very nice find. and ....

Would that be considered a Butterfly or Gutter fold? Neat nevertheless!

Nice to get in raw! Try a large currency holder, but may not be wide enough. If not, then use a 2-pocket vinyl page, I use those for world currencies that are too large for the largest standard currency holder made.

I don't know what a Gutter fold is. The Butterfly is a fold and than print over, right? However this is a fold over and than cut. What weird is, it got a corner piece of the other bill plus the top gold border.

Quote: Somehow it got through all the checks and balances of our treasury department. Passed by all the bill inspection personals. After all the filtering through all the special serial numbers, all the bank employees. Yeah, somehow! Especially the bank tellers who count the bills twice and enter the info into their computer then count them out to you.

I would guess that it could sell for $300 - $500. Your best bet is to visit a lot of currency seller sites and compare your note to their items. Dealers will pay you about half of what they will sell it for.
No one on this site can make you an offer because you're still new here.
Don't make yourself crazy trying to Top Dollar. The dealer who will get that has devoted years of time and lots of money in customer acquisition.
Congrats on your find!

Buddy, you are absolutely right. I'm a sports memorabilia and cards collector but recently expanding into silver coins and notes world. This is such an awesome forum. I found so many stuffs that I had no idea people are collecting. I made contacts with the people at PCGS and they flat out made me an offer. I'm hoping to do some digging in this forum to see why this bill I have is special. LOL
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR WELCOMING ME.
