And not because I'm not a fan of toned coins, I'm having a hard time seeing under the ...whatever. I really honestly can't tell if this is uncirculated or not. The reverse is a very old die, weak strike and polished overly much(FG unclear)...ah, that's what it is, PIDT is going on. The dies are so worn the images are passing thru, why it looks distorted. While all that shouldn't affect the grade, I would say a low MS at best 60 or 62 and if circulated at a AU58.

You know, I really don't see any issues of note, so I'll say 65. Very cool coin.

Thank you both. I bought this one recently from a seller who had toned ones from a sealed mint bag. Super cool!

40% silver Kennedy half dollars are one of the most under appreciated coins in my opinion. I can sometimes get them for less than spot at coin shows, and many of them are uncirculated. I have never thought about looking at them with grading in mind because I buy them for the silver content only, but that may change after seeing this post. Would it be ok to ask what you paid for it?
