Need Help On Identifying Error Cent

kfrogg New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 11/16/2017 6:47 pm So I have an unusual coin and I wanted to know more about it. It's a 1974 D Penny with a blank back. I can take a picture of it; but it looks like the back has always been blank (not machined that way). Does this happen to coins? And if so, are there 1974 D's like this? I can't find any info on it. For the coin to be "planchet like" (flat surface) It would have to be a brockage/struck through reverse die cap (ultra rare) If the obverse is normal, then Little no name with his trusty Dremel is back at it again...
