These finally came in the mail today after shipping from.... China. The only reason I purchased them from the notorious (Not Allowed) website is because most reviews were positive in the authenticity of the notes with a large handful of them being buyers from the United States.

I took very simple photos so if better ones are needed I can take better. These are uncirculated to the point where they feel like they were just printed. They do however feel like a normal bill would as in it's not completely paper. There are also watermarks that show up when held up to the light for each bill.

Any help is appreciated. I apologize if any of my photos are sideways, when I post on mobile it may look correct to me but usually turns on desktop.

Well, it's from China, hard to tell. Chinese people are the only ones with easy access to North Korea, so a chance they're real.

The writing that I can read says "hongbao" which is a red envelope that they put money into at spring festival. And it's a red envelope, so it's not really important at all, just your average cheapo hongbao.

Thank you for explaining the envelope.

A main concern is why these are in perfect condition with none of them having folds or creases. The seller told me before buying that a man brings them from North Korea along with other things like coins and such (that I did buy before).

Because the North Koreans can get their hands on hard currency by selling their new currency to foreigners. It costs next to nothing to produce and they don't have to worry about inflating their economy because no one is buying it to spend there.

Your notes are real. These notes were pretty much worthless in North Korea. The locals would rather use Chinese RMB. They are sold by the bundles to Chinese tourists or on the black market.

The envelope is a lucky money envelope. Chinese people buy these to put in cash gifts on special occasions.

I have nothing to add regarding the authenticity of the notes.

Just wanna chime in about the house at the back of the North Korean banknotes which was actually Kim Il Sung's childhood home, I actually had the chance to visit it.
