The first coin is quadrante from Castulo.

I had one with the star above and no mark before the portrait, but traded it and a few US coins to get this one which is in better condition and much more scarce.

The first letter of the legend is missing due to the chip in the flan, but I still thought it was worth getting.

The second coin is from Julia Traducta. Also part of the trade.
When I got it home at first I thought maybe I should have passed on it, but compared to others it's not all that bad.

SPAIN, Julia Traducta.
Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AE As 25mm, 11.0g.
Bare head left / IVLIA/ TRAD in two lines within wreath.

Nice acquisitions, Scott, and just a day after Finn shared his new Hispania pick-up.

Thanks Bob

It was Finn's post that got me inspired to show some new coins from Spain.

I collect them almost exclusive lately, but there are not many others that get posted.

I really enjoy seeing coins from the Iberian peninsula.

Nice pick-ups! These old Iberian coins are great.
