I see some skirt lines and a little sandal detail so I would have to say VG8.

prime example of a G-4 walker, the forward leg is devoid of skirt lines, face and breast are worn flat by the pic banner stars are barely visable, sun burst lines center are worn flat, eagles breast shows no feathers and wings on the reverse have no feathers visable on the right hand edge .
G-4

It has been my experience that the skirt lines often do not show up well in scans/pictures. I am basing my grade more on the fact that I see some detail in the sandal (not enough to warrant an F12 grade, but I feel it's definitely enough to warrant a VG8 grade) especially with the rims being complete and the lettering being clear.

I see the skirt lines in the protected area to the right of the forward leg,but the skirt lines to the left of the forward leg are less that half, forward leg is obviously worn flat,,and although the sandal is a place to look for wear, the coin needs to be taken as a whole ,,
with the weakness in the sun burst no detail in the banner, face worn flat , the lack of identifiable feathers on the right wing, leg feathers worn flat, even with a definable rim and clear motto the coin still grades G-4
I realise that we are looking at a photo ,scan, but that is what we have to determine a grade from

I blew the picture up to look at the skirtlines to the left and here is what I got. I agree that you can't see them in the original photo, but I must have gotten used to grading these from scans/pics on ebay (which means they're also BAD scans/pics that I'm getting used to grading from) . The lowest relief skirt lines are clear under magnification, but not visible in the original pic.

I keep hearing talking about areas of the coin that is not grading points. Careful. you can use someof these areas when the grade is borderline but don't hold too much importance on them

GOOD = Rims are defined. Motto IN GOD WE TRUST is readable. VERY GOOD. Motto is distinct. About half of skirt line at left are clear. Now, these are the technical points in grading a Walking Liberty half. However, these points are just for referrence and should NOT be used as the "set in stone" rule. With the amount of wear on this particular coin, I would "buy and sell" at the "GOOD" price.

Photograde The guide book I use, says this coin is a VG. A good can have the rim worn down to the top of a few of the letters. About half the skirt lines are visible. The reverse shows a full rom with a few fearhers showing.
I would buy and sell this coin at a very good grade.

As would I. While I use the ANA grading standards instead of photograde, it seems that the standards are the same.
