coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/22/2017 7:21 pm It is Feeder Finger Damage. The fingers get struck during the striking process. They are now bent a bit: The altered finger now start rubbing on the die creating a ridge on the die and the coin start to show it. They can be in several directions. Wheat cents N-S Why incuse? (I don't know) NW/SE: NE/SW: Damage to the fields. Probably one of the reasons they polish them so much? Report this Post to the Staff
