Hey, it might not be worth much, but it is still a great find and it's fun to find one yourself. Thank you for the value and yes, that's pretty good for a Lincoln Shield cent!  Errers and Varietys.

I've found two of these this year after never finding one before. The ones I found were both in terrible condition, one being a parking lot survivor and one having been dipped in barbecue sauce.  Great find! |

Saliva on a coin turns the color dark:  Note the color difference on the coin? |

I can see the difference in color from the saliva. It's amazing how much little droplets of saliva or sneezes can change the surface of the coin.

Sneeze droplets are probably the smallest thing that could make those spots.
