It's nicer than a lot of what I've seen for sale on e-bay. Whether it's VG or less might depend on the rims. They are a little weak, so I would wait to hear from a more knowledgeable member.

The dies were horribly overused striking the 52s. You see - even at this level of wear - signs of Progressive Indirect Die Transfer (PIDT). PIDT happens when the elements of the design transfer between the obverse and reverse dies thought the planchet. For example on the reverse, you can clearly see some of the obverse star inside the C. Unfortunately, you are more looking at an AG3 obverse (because of the rim wearing away into the lettering). The reverse is nicer, but that's what the grading standards say. https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/#/3CentSil/Grades

It's a good buy for 15.50. Reverse look VG-8 while the Obverse looks G-4. Original!
