It is doubling, but it's Split Plate Doubling. It's a worthless form of doubling.

Keep looking though. You seem to have a great eye for doubling. You will find a Doubled Die in no time with the good eyes you have.

Actually just a plating split. (no doubling) The split happens from a strong strike, then oxygen reaches the zinc and they rest is down hill form there. In time, it will be a Lincoln copper foil wrapper after the zinc goes away.
