I paid $0.01 over spot per coin for Mercury dimes. Was that good? 1 Roll = $62. Bought two rolls. These were average circulated grade. No culls.

IMO any time you can get silver coins at pretty close to spot value, then you are doing something right.

crazyb0, I think Bold Precious Metals has a black friday (weekend) deal where you can get $10 of junk silver for 11.98x FV. It only works as a coupon over $370 order size I think, but they're 12.53x FV which is pretty cheap at the current spot price without the coupon.

Sounds like a really good buy. Are you going to look for errors and varieties?

It was a local antique shop that also dabbles in coins where they had a promotional event for Small Business Saturday. It was one day only.

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish with the purchase. If you are buying them to accumulate silver or because you like/collect mercs then yes. Anything close to spot is good. If you are buying them to flip for a quick profit, then it's only a good deal if you can actually flip them.

And remember so many people are not aware of small and large dates, 42/41 dates, FSB on many dates, etc. Nice pick up.
