Hi.

Please, I need information about this 1922 Peace dollar (photos).
It's a VAM, but I didn't find information about the DOT between 2's at date (1 9 2.2)
I need know the numismatic value for it and if it is a known error.

2 photos(to see details).

Thank You

Welcome to Coin Community.

The profile and letter "doubling" are due to Strike Doubling; the die "stuttered" a bit during the strike. Note that the "second impression" on the letters is smaller than the original, and does not add to them ad die doubling would. It's not uncommon on Peace dollars.

I believe that the dot between the numbers is due to some sort of postmint environmental impact/exposure.

It's a pretty well-struck 1922, but it appears to have the beginnings of PVC plasticizer damage on the reverse (note the greenish areas near the rim in the bottom left quadrant). In your detail image of the date, I see similar color as well. This may be just an artifact of the imaging, but if it's PVC the coin is on its' way to being destroyed by the chemical reaction.
