1971 Jimmy Doolittle Heraldic Art Medal
This is my 27th different Heraldic Art Medal so-called half dollar.

I didn't expect it to pop up in my saved searches but there it was and I did OK on it. A better image will replace this one that is in the plastic bag which partially hides the lower right rim on the obverse. Hopefully, it will be much sharper in hand.

The obverse image is taken from this photo with Doolittle on his Curtiss R3C-2 Racer, the plane in which he won the 1925 Schneider Trophy Race. On the medal he looks more like a kid with his hat on sideways and is also on the shore rather than on the landing gear pontoon.

Not the greatest of designs in the 60 medal series but being somewhat of a scarce one and better subject, I am glad to add it to my near half complete set.

Does anyone collect the WWII Indian Code Talker medals issued by the mint? It's a large series and I have been tempted.

Acquired two tokens recently. The first is the Union Coffee company NY-343. Unusual in that it is unholed. The second one is Macullar Parker, BOS-50. BOS-50 has an address listed on the back, so I did a Google map search.

Currently, there is either an Old Navy Store, or a place called Primark. (the exact number on the buildings wasn't clear) The Old Navy building is a modern glass structure. Primark is housed in a building that looks like it was built in the late 1800 to early 1900's. I'd like to believe that's where Macullar Park was.
