I have been doing quite a lot of research on this nickel that I have. I know it was suspected that Henning also counterfeited 1943 Nickels. This nickel has no mint mark, and in the R you can see the small hole if you look at it from an angle. There is small raised pimples all over it on both sides. There is no luster to it at all, actually I think its quite ugly lol. But I wanted to get some feedback on what yall think?
There's been threads on the Henning before. Check them out for further info: Not so sure @1943 tho, P2 of second thread...After reading error-ref.com is doubtful you have a 43 Henning. He only did certain years, the 1944 being the one he was caught for...
To CCF , I'm almost positive you DO NOT have a Henning Nickel . you have a 1943-P that is so worn and beat that all you can see is the bottom of the P Mint . sorry .
Hummmm I think I see what you are talking about... thanks you so much... I just inherited a whole bunch of old Lincoln cents and other coins, so hopefull I will descover a real treasure... :)
