I found this beautiful denarius last weekend. One from Louis 1 of the Carolingian empire. Already cleaned it a bit Obv: temple/ XPISTIANA RELIGIO Rev: cross with 4 pearls in a wreath/+ HLVDOVVICVS IMP Diameter: 19mm Mass: 1,27 gram Minted: AD 814-840

How interesting, I was just reading an article about the deniers of Louis the Pious in the Numismatist. For a coin minted during Western Europe's dark ages, that coin sure is in great condition!
