It is described as being in a PCGS VF20 holder, but the coin is clearly not VF20. It took me 2 minutes to find the coin being offered for $57,500 by Kagin's in the link above. As I write this, the bay has not taken it down. With 11 minutes to go, the bidding is at $1,025. Looks like someone hacked into the dormant account of a user with 100% feedback. Hope the bay prevents someone from loosing their dough. Before I checked it out I was thinking of bidding on it. Some alarms:
1. Seller only had one listing. 2. Listing lasted a day and a half. (?) 3. Description said slabbed - did not provide picture of slab. 4. Slab grade was way off from the grade of the coin from examination. 5. The listing had no descriptive information about the coin.
Did I miss any?
