Not sure what the advantage is other than not getting miles/points for using a CC

If you CC is tied to your PP account you'll still get the miles/points.

Yup...but you would have gotten the same by just using your CC as has been the case.

You can have a PayPal account that is not connected to any bank account, just your credit card.

Using PayPal this way is a lot safer to shop online because the store never gets your actual credit card number to save in their files to get hacked and stolen. Paying this way saves you from typing in a bunch of stuff on each website (bill to name and address, ship to name and address, credit card numbers, expiration dates, 3 digit code, etc.). Sure enough you will make a mistake and the site wipes everything out...not with PayPal.

I sound like a PayPal commercial, but this is one thing I like about PP.

I agree NSS. If I could buy a pop from a machine with PP I would. No...wait...I can do that too.
