I was in a hall opposite to the Bank of England today and when I looked up I saw some recognizable coins on the wall.

One side of the room had modern coins (American gold etc) but the other had a few recognizable ancients... so I thought I would post them to see if anyone else recognizes them.

Medallion decorations to be more exact.
Probably made from fired white earthenware or bisque porcelain.
The bee reminiscent of Ephesus.

I thought the first was Histaiai (Nymph sitting on prow of ship) the second as Sel says is a bee coin from Ephesos, Ionia it even has the devices. Next one I wasn't as sure and thought it may be head of Athena but Orfew correctly identifies it as from Syracuse coins (head of Arethusa) and the last was Head of Herakles in lion skin as appears on Alex III coins.

I thought it very cool that the architect made this reference and that it wasn't entirely lost on me :)

Top left looks more like the boy on dolphin types from Tars as mentioned above.

Hard to see from my photo... from the distance I was at I couldn't make out the dolphin and thought it was a prow but I stand corrected because the prows curl around more.
