Hey y'all, I have a small bag of 12 ancient coins that were apparently acquired from India about 30 years ago. Here is one of the coins. Does anyone know anything about it? Thank you in advance :)

It is from Sri Lanka, from the Chola era 10th and 11th century AD.

The octopus king, or at least that's what I always called them to remember what they are.

It's absolutely amazing how many of these survived.

Ron, is that a crescent above the pile of balls to the right of the king? If so, wouldn't this coin be from the mainland rather than Sri Lanka?
