2001 Penny Stamped With Something - Coin Community Forum

At least one of the times, the coin was slightly bent on top of a thick-walled, but hollow object like a washer. Not sure on the letters nor the circumferential scratches on the rev. However, in the end, this coin is worth exactly one cent and can be spent. Britton699 Valued Member United States 82 Posts	Posted 12/02/2017 2:42 pm Along the edge you can see the bottom of letters almost like its the bottom of the word state and it looks backwards. Around the outside edge you can slightly see some letters I tried to take some pics of it but they wouldnt come out clear enough to see them. Its still probably like you said just got caught up in the press or something. But the letters around the outer edge got me wondering tho. Report this Post to the Staff
