Okay, I have my choices narrowed down to two coins but I can not decide which one to get for the life of me. My computer is not letting me upload pictures so I will just explain the coins.

First one is a 1759 1/2 Escudo from Spain which is NGC Verified AU-53.
The second is a 1897 $5 gold piece from the United States which is NGC graded MS-61.

I would greatly appreciate your guys opinion! Thank you

While many might jump to recommend gold, I could not do so, being unfamiliar with your second option.

1897 is one of my completed date sets so I can say with some conviction that until you get to 63 or above for the $5, they are generally unlovely.

Anything below 63 should be avoided. Even 63's are usually hard to love.

I find ms61 u.s. usually tends to look unappealing (at least to me), so I would have to go with the half escudo.

Sight-unseen (I'm not giving my Google Drive location data to a random Internet user) I'm buying the Half Escudo.

The second one was slabbed more than 7 or 8 years ago so there are no images on the NGC site. The first one is not in the NGC database.

Buy the one that you prefer. If you make the choice, you'll never regret purchasing based on another's recommendation.
