I was browsing ebay looking for small size $2 LTNs and came across this listing for a 1928D $2 LTN DA Block PCGS VF25 Apparent --- asking price $760,000.00. I have seen some outrageous marketing hype (you have to look at the listing) on ebay before, but this one is at the top of my list. Or, am I entirely missing something about this note? Isn't a small size 1928D $2 LTN in VF at most a $30 note on a VERY good day?

what a large pile of squashed bananas.
Im not sure if the seller actually believes a single human on earth might be intrigued by such a nonsense ad or if they themselves have reached the pinnacle of self delusion.

I don't know Mox, the seller does have a 100% rating and does have sales and at least some are at reasonable prices (like this $1 Hawaii SC). I guess the seller gets points for creativity and I didn't see anything that is out and out false in the listing, but boy does it take chutzpah to offer that note at that price. PT Barnum would be proud!

(From seller) Quote: The rest of the serial number "0304 can either represent March 4th, 1776, or April 3rd, 1776 both of which are significant dates in American history. Ok, so on March 4th 1776, we Americans captured Dorchester Heights, and took control over the ports of Boston. Pretty important, I suppose. On April third, nothing notable happened. The only notable thing of the entire month was ironically on the first. (Sourced from onthisday.com)

Quote: defies all mathematical probabilities If you add all the digits of the ebay item number, it equals 60, which was Thomas Jefferson's age in 1803. If you add the digits of 1803, it equals 12. If you add that, you end up with 3. Thomas Jefferson just happens to have been the 3rd President! But wait! He coincidentally was serving as the third President...in 1803...at the age of 60! How did ebay plan this mathematical sorcery?!

If you add the digits of his price it is 13 for the original 13 colonies.
