1967 Quarter-Possible Error? - Coin Community Forum

The second A in the word AMERICA is whole, there is no space in the center of the A that usually defines the A. It is the very same for the A in the word DOLLAR. The A in DOLLAR may just be due to circulation wear or possibly from a small die chip that caused the upper part to fill in on the coin. I can still see a hint of what is supposed to be there, though. Die wear could also be involved. Either way, it's nothing to get excited about.
