Hello members,

It has been absolutely pleasurable learning about coins here in CCF for the past few months.

Couple of the reasons that I stopped the hobby about 20 years ago were that I could not share my experiences with anyone at the time and that I felt I couldn't get any unbiased opinions about coins. But I always remembered that first shiny Morgan dollar purchased for six dollars when pinball machines were a dime to play.

Ever since I joined CCF, I learned and benefited so much. I am truly appreciative of all members who shared their knowledge and opinions, and to show my appreciation, I am holding a contest.

A simple contest to guess the weight of a silver plated tray filled with circulated silver coins. I thought about coming up with some fancy contest, but I think this will be fun for everyone who can do some math and come up with educated guesses. I will tell you about coins that are in the tray.

PRIZE:

1 st closest - CCF Copper Token (see pic below)

2nd closest - VF+ Morgan or XF+ Peace dollar (you choose which one)

3 rd closest - Franklin half dollar

RULES:

1. Two guesses per member.
2. Must have 50 posts or higher.
3. Must in GRAMS (or can be x.xxx KG) - Fractions will be rounded up or down.
4. ENDS at 12/17/2017 mid-night CCF time

HELPFUL NOTES:

The silver plated tray weighs 800 grams.

Following coins are inside the tray.

20 Morgan dollars
39 Peace dollars
71 Silver halves (Franklin, Walkers, Kennedy 90%)
62 Silver quarters (very worn Barber & SLQ, circulated Washington with few UNC coins)
50 Merc dimes (well circulated, 50 different dates. All AG to VG with few Fair conditions)

Good luck everyone... and HAPPY HOLIDAYS ~~~

EDITS:
CLARIFICATIONS:
Please guess total weight of the coins plus the tray.

Thanks for noting that. You are correct. Total weight for both coins and the silver tray. I have made an edit.

Excellent prizes, too!

P.S. The current guess list sorted by grams was more helpful to me.
