Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take a little poll to find out what is your favorite one cent coin from those listed. For the purpose of the poll let's say the're all worth the same..

The Classic Head -- 1808-1814
The Young Head -- 1835-1857
The Flying Eagle cent -- 1857-1858
Indian Head cent -- 1859-1909
Lincoln Head Cent -- 1909-1958

Please only select from those listed.

I like the Young Head...why? It is because these are the first coins my late grandfather gave me (1850 and 1852) which really sparked my interest in coins. To have a cent almost the same size as a quarter really peaked my interest.

I will have to go with the Large Cents! The classic head is probably prefered by the young head is what I tend to see the most of. I have started a large cent collection numerous times in the last 30 years but always give up and sell them as I am so attracted to silver BUT I have the large cents going again and hopefully this time...?

I like the Flying Eagle. Lots of history there and it represents a huge change in numismatic history. I also like the idea of a coin that the central figure is an animal, not a person.

I like the Indian Head cent, the Flying Eagle is a close second. The wreath on the IHC reverse is just so cool- what with all that detail. That and on very rare occasions I get the thrill of finding one in someone's change. I think I've found eight in the 5+ years I've been at the bank.

Its hard for me to choose, but I think the Indians are probly the most beautiful in high quality,, the History of these coins civil war, the age of industrialisation of industry, and the movement of people with the land grabs and homesteading,, just a real cool era of US history.

Tough choice. With only those listed, I would have to say Classic Head, followed by the Indian
