Second, it is a little hard to tell from your pics, but the missing detail could be from normal wear and tear or more likely from a grease-filled die. It doesn't look like much of the design is missing, so this wouldn't add much (if anything) to the value of the coin. Looks like a spender to me, but others here will weigh in with their own opinions too.
