Finally got up to 20 characters....

Anyways, one of my latest purchases. I've been comparing it to a lot of coins in the grade range I would assume it is, and grading gold is a tough tast, even for the professionals. I've seen coins with better surfaces being graded 3 steps lower than coins with worse surface...

What do you think?

This is an AU coin, probably a 53.

Unless there is a significant scratch or other damage that might details a Coin, bag marks and minor dings picked up in circulation DO NOT change the technical circulated grade.

Once a Coin becomes circulated, only the degree of wear affects technical grade.

Such eye appeal considerations as luster, strike, bag marks, dings, light edge marks, and toning all effect the value but they are not considered in AU-58 or lessor grades.

Luster is sometimes essential on deciding on high AU versus mint state, but it still doesn't change a circulated grade, only it's eye appeal and value.

Yours appears to be average for the year/mint mark.
