Attempted to take best pics I could holding loop
Looks a lot clearer holding in hand looking through loop. "9" in date appears to be doubled? What's your take on this one? Thanks for your insight!

Is the coin in a 2x2? If so remove them before taking pics. What type of camera are you using?

Actually that is die wear. I know it is on the wrong side of the devices. But in that decade something different appears on these dies. I have a thread about this on the forum somewhere. (My computer is not working still. I can't get on line yet) but maybe someone can search for it and post the link? (Still using my Phone and can't copy/paste with it)

I don't think it is John1. I remember the post, Coop was talking about how the die wear went toward the center of coins instead of outward. It happened in the late teens through mid twenties if my memory serves me correctly. And that's a big if. lol

Thanks all for your response.

I took the pics with my phone cam through a loop. I can't remember what power. It was very difficult to take the pics.

Thanks very much for your detailed, always informative response, Coop. So this occurrence was fairly common in these dates?
