Don't feel bad man. I remember finding one in a customer wrapped roll and it was all beat up, corroded, and had tons of Environmental Damage. I have already posted it on here, but is left behind by pages. Still a nice find no matter what condition it's in.

Its a nice find. If it was a 99 it would still be worth a decent chunk of change even with the damage, and if it was a 92 cam in that condition, it would likely be worth a couple thousand bucks! True rarities still hold significant value even when severely damaged, so its always worth looking!

I'm not even sure if that is a WAM - need other opinions.

What are you seeing to say that? I don't make out serifs on the G, the M is not centered between the A & E

The M is centered and so is the A in STATES and it's close FG to the base of the memorial

If it is supposed to be a RDV-006 the FG doesn't seam close enough. With all the damage who can tell 100%. And you are saying the M is centered - OK

Ouch. I would not have worried about arguing this one. Best to forget this poor cent and move on. Good luck in the hunt.

Ouch indeed. I'll confirm this as a 1998 WAM ... but alas corrosion has rendered it nearly worthless as a collectable. Me ... I would celebrate the find (done at CCF) and then deposit into my bank return bag. Sorry for the bad luck on an otherwise desired LMC variety.

I disagree about getting rid of this Wide AM cent. I would still keep it anyway. I have one in horrible condition and still kept it. But that's just me.

Wow! That actually helped it a lot. Looks way better than it did before. Still a keeper.
