Found this in Wheat penny roll,
it had raised impressions in bits and pieces
On it, what is this error called?
Looks like a letter "R" to the left of he's nose and lip

@aussie1984, the damage on Lincoln's shoulder on the obv is directly opposite to the flattened letter O on the rev, right? That doesn't look like an error at all to me--just PMD. It should have a small value above face due to it being a Wheat cent.

It looks like PMD to me.

It's either a strike through or a minor case of PMD.

That could be a lamination error on the shoulder, hard to tell from the pictures.
Other than that, I don't see anything out of the ordinary.
Rest in Peace

I'd guess it is a counterstamp.

Lamination error on torso. Even though it's gotta lamination I would say the condition would make it worth a penny still

Am I missing something? How did you come to that conclusion?

Just looks to me like two letter in somewhat symmetrical boxes with rounded corners. Like an R D or similar. Very similar to a typical lamination, but this just looks counterstamped to me and the damage on the reverse seems to match. Just a guess and not too much to work with from the photos but...
