Hi!

I see several YouTube videos that talks about 1982/1983 quarters are going scarce. Do these affect both Philly and Denver mintages? Lately, I've seen at least 3 1983-P's in every quarter roll, should I start saving them?

In the photo, the 1983-P quarter shows slashing lines, is this common or add value to the quarter?

Thanks!

There are still plenty of 82-83 quarters in circulation, the higher grade one can be purchased on line or your local coin shop with a higher premium.lets face it we are talking about 35 yrs old coins so the premium on higher grades are going up but are not scarce as of yet!

those quarters were still produced in huge numbers. Unless it's uncirculated, it won't have much additional value in my lifetime.

Maybe you are really young and they might be worth 3 for a dollar in your lifetime

McDonalds collects 1983 quarters - you give them 4 of them and they will give you a cheeseburger in return!
