I haven't been as active as I like, but still around the forums when I can. I could use expert opinions of the membership on this coin. I think it's genuine.

New Pickup, date position seems to match the one obverse die. weight is 26.5 grams. opinions on grade also, does it make VF? Just wanted to check before I send it in for certification and grading.

Vf25. Reverse scratches may be enough to details.

Would need better pictures of the area right below the bow on the reverse.

Gradewise, VF30, reverse scratches.

I will get some closeups of the MM area and post tomorrow. I did not see any red flags when I checked that area with a 16x power loupe.

I took some closeups of the reverse under the bow. with a 16x loupe I dont see any discoloration or raised/ recessed surfaces, seems like the rest of the coin.

I think I found my answer...from an old CCF topic back in 2015, I had listed the diagnostic for determining a genuine 1894. funny, the older I get the more I forget.
