The majority of '84-S that didn't spend a lot of time in circulation have a terrible strike quality. I think AU53 may be in line based on the lower elevation design details and the halos around the stars indicate at the very least a past dip. Maybe a straight grade, maybe a market grade or maybe a details grade. It would be a craps shoot.

My initial thought was XF45 cleaned.

I think it is retoned to become market acceptable, but not for me.

Au53 to me. Those eagle breast feathers show absolutely no detail.

AU-50 straight grade. Photo lighting and the fact the coin is in a flip might make it look cleaned.
